A Beautiful Word-DIY

At this point in the summer it is possible that laziness has set in, not just physically or mentally, but spiritually as well. A quick and easy solution is to surround yourself with scripture in some beautiful ways.

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

This tutorial is very simple and there are not really any set of steps as you get to be the creator in which ever way you choose. I will, however, leave some simple and cheap ideas on putting scripture everywhere. Feel free to think outside of the box and come up with your very own ideas as well and leave a comment to share them.

I came up with 4 main ideas:

1. You can easily upgrade a tile using ribbons and a hot glue gun. These tiles are great for using as a dry erase message board. Write out a verse that sticks out to you, if you mess up or want to change it just erase and re-write.

2. Using fonts of your choice type and print scripture verses on regular paper. To liven them up, give them a beautiful background using scrapbooking paper. Place in a frame you have lying around or feel free to spend a few extra bucks on a new one.

tips: you may have to print out test sheets of the verse to get it to be the size you want it to be. Try to make it small enough so the pretty paper shows up well enough behind. Use scissors or a paper cutter (hobby lobby) to cut scripture down to size and scrapbooking paper to fit inside the chosen fram.

3. This one is soooo easy and soooo cheap. It will work as long as you have a mirror. Simply use a dry erase marker the color of your choice (they do have some pretty colors these days) to write a special verse or one you have your heart set on memorizing. It will most likely be the first thing you see in the morning and the last just before bed. You may have to use windex to really clean it well, but it only takes 2 minutes. Erase and start over.

4. I do not have any pictures for this one, sorry, but it should be pretty easy just by reading my description. All you need is some chalk board paint (as a heads up this can be kind of pricey, sorry to say) a cookie sheet, a board, a wall…whatever you parents will allow you to paint. Paint the object, let it dry, then use chalk to write your verse on the chalk paint. If you choose to use an old cookie sheet, I would suggest leaving the sides unpainted and just cover the base (where the cookies are usually placed). As a side note, do not cook any cookies after painting the cookie sheet, pretty sure they will taste horrible and make you sick 🙂

Now I know you can probably think of at least another idea that I forgot to mention, please share with us. If not, jump in and try one of these out. I do apologize about my mirror picture. I struggled with making the picture pretty because I have yet to paint this bathroom a different color. Please enjoy, be encouraged and surround yourself with a beautiful word.

Magnificent issues altogether, you just gained a new reader. What could you suggest in regards to your submit that you simply made some days in the past? Any positive?
